FAQ

Practical details about the work, access, implementation, and what happens next.

What does Whatnotlab actually do?

We learn how your team works, identify where AI can help, recommend a practical approach, and support implementation and adoption.

We already use Claude Code or Codex. Why would we need help?

Access to an AI tool is not the same as a repeatable way of working. We help turn individual experiments into clear workflows, useful guidance, review points, and team habits.

Do you only advise, or do you help implement?

Both. We can map the opportunity, recommend what to change, help configure or build it, and support the team while the new process becomes familiar.

Do you guarantee business results?

No. Your team remains responsible for business decisions and outcomes. We help you move closer to those outcomes by improving how the work is performed.

How do you handle access to our systems and data?

We start with the least access needed, agree boundaries before implementation, and keep human approval around sensitive actions. Access can be removed when the work ends.

Will we need to replace our current tools?

Usually not. We first look for ways to improve the tools and workflows you already have. We recommend a new tool only when there is a clear reason.

Do we need an internal technical team?

Not necessarily. We explain the work in plain language and can handle technical implementation, but every engagement needs an internal owner who can make decisions and help the team adopt changes.

What happens during the first call?

We discuss your team, current tools, recurring work, and the places where time or context is being lost. If there is a useful next step, we explain it before any commitment.

How long does an engagement take?

It depends on the workflow and the amount of implementation involved. We define a bounded first milestone after discovery instead of giving a generic timeline before we understand the work.
