ccgui / desktop-cc-gui
A cross-platform desktop interface for Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, OpenCode, and other coding engines.
What it helps with
ccgui puts several command-line coding engines into one desktop interface with chat, file and Git views, project maps, local memory, cost estimates, and session resume/fork features. An agency developer can switch among Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, OpenCode, or DeepSeek Harness without living in multiple terminals. Model credentials still belong to the underlying runtimes or configured services, and optional browser, email, remote, or web services move data beyond the local machine.
Best fit
Best for technical users wanting a visual multi-engine client; not for assuming every engine has identical permissions, privacy, or feature parity.
Setup reality
One-click prebuilt desktop release; building/customizing requires Node.js, Rust, CMake, and platform-specific Tauri prerequisites.
License context
Permissive licenseBusiness use and modification are generally allowed. Keep required notices and review trademarks, dependencies, and hosted-service terms.MIT. Commercial use and modification are permitted with notice retention; underlying engines/providers retain separate licenses and terms.
