Claude-Mem

Local memory that summarizes coding-agent sessions and brings useful context into later work.

What it helps with

Claude-Mem records agent-session activity, compresses it into summaries, stores it locally, and retrieves relevant history in later sessions. An agency may use it to reduce repeated explanations across a long client project. The current repository describes wider agent support, but the main requirements and lifecycle hooks are still centered on Claude Code, with separate paths for OpenCode, Antigravity, and OpenClaw. Stored session history can contain code, decisions, filenames, and sensitive context.

Best fit

Best for long-running developer projects with a clear retention policy; not for regulated or client-confidential work without a data review.

Setup reality

Needs developer. The installer also manages a worker service, Bun/uv dependencies, SQLite, hooks, and optional provider configuration.

License context

Permissive licenseBusiness use and modification are generally allowed. Keep required notices and review trademarks, dependencies, and hosted-service terms.

Apache-2.0. Commercial use and modification are allowed with Apache license/notice obligations.
