CLI Agent Orchestrator (CAO)
A local control plane for coordinating many coding-agent CLIs in isolated terminal sessions.
What it helps with
CAO runs supported coding-agent CLIs in isolated tmux sessions and gives a supervisor CLI, web UI, MCP surface, flows, memory, skills, and tool restrictions for coordinating workers. It supports Claude Code, Codex, Kiro, OpenCode, Hermes, Kimi, Copilot, Cursor, and others through focused provider guides. A platform team may use it for complex multi-repository work, but it introduces a local server, terminal multiplexing, authenticated provider CLIs, and potentially long-running orchestration.
Best fit
Best for advanced developer-platform teams; not for a typical SMB owner or a first coding-agent deployment.
Setup reality
Ops-heavy. Python 3.10+, tmux 3.3+, uv, authenticated provider CLIs, server, profiles, and control-plane choices are required.
